Craig Collins serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer of UK HealthCare, the academic medical center enterprise of the University of Kentucky.
In this role he leads financial strategy and operations for one of the Commonwealth’s largest integrated health systems, overseeing budgeting, capital planning and revenue cycle across the enterprise. Mr. Collins brings more than three decades of healthcare finance experience in integrated medical centers to the position.
Before joining the University of Kentucky, he spent much of his career at Mayo Clinic, where his responsibilities included serving as chief revenue officer and finance leadership roles supporting the organization’s Midwest practice and broader enterprise.
Earlier in his career, he held a finance management role at The Weitz Company.
He also serves as chief executive officer of Beyond Blue, an affiliated organization supporting and expanding the university’s work across Kentucky. Mr. Collins earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Simpson College and a master of business administration from Winona State University. He has been recognized among the academic medical center finance leaders profiled by Becker’s Healthcare and is a frequent voice on health system finance, acquisitions and technology investment.
