Ms. Cheryl A. Sadro, CPA, MSM, serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Johns Hopkins Medicine and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Johns Hopkins Health System, one of the world’s preeminent academic medical institutions headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. In these dual roles, Ms. Sadro holds comprehensive financial accountability for the Johns Hopkins enterprise, overseeing strategic financial planning, capital allocation, and long-term fiscal sustainability across the health system’s hospitals, research programs, and educational missions.
Ms. Sadro joined Johns Hopkins Medicine in January 2024, bringing more than 35 years of financial leadership experience in major, mission-driven health systems. Prior to Johns Hopkins, she served as Chief Financial Officer of UC Davis Health in Sacramento, California, and as Executive Vice President and Chief Business and Financial Officer for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Earlier in her career, she held senior finance roles at Ascension Health and Catholic Health Initiatives.
A nationally recognized healthcare finance executive, Ms. Sadro has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s lists of Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know and Academic Medical Center CFOs to Know. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
