Here are three things to know about the go-live:

1. Epic replaced SwedishAmerican’s previous EHR software from GE.

2. SwedishAmerican collaborated with parent organization Madison, Wis.-based UW Health for three years to prepare for the Epic go-live. Now, patients who visit SwedishAmerican or UW Health will have one integrated medical record across the system.

3. SwedishAmerican will use Epic’s software for scheduling, clinical applications, billing and population health. Patients will also have access to MyChart, Epic’s patient portal.
