Logansport Memorial Hospital to deploy Cerner EHR

Logansport (Ind.) Memorial Hospital is implementing the Cerner EHR system to replace the two systems the hospital currently has in place, according to a Pharos-Tribune report.

The hospital currently has one EHR for acute services, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, while physicians use a different system.

The new EHR, which will cost $14.4 million over the next five years, will bring the hospital onto one system, reducing patient safety risks and allowing caregivers access to comprehensive patient data.

The new system will take around 12 to 15 months to deploy. The hospital anticipates a go-live in 2020, according to the report.
