Five things to know about the EHR vendor’s financial performance:
1. Cerner reported $1.43 billion in revenue for the second quarter, up 5 percent from $1.37 billion from the same period last year.
2. The EHR vendor posted $126.9 million in net earnings, a 25 percent decrease from $169.4 million during the second quarter of 2018.
3. Most of Cerner’s second-quarter revenue came from professional services, which accounted for $485.3 million. Additional major revenue drivers included managed services ($297.7 million), support and maintenance ($276.4 million) and licensed software ($197.1 million).
4. Cerner projects its third quarter revenue to hit between $1.41 billion to $1.45 billion.
5. The company’s bookings for the second quarter were at the high-end of Cerner’s expectations at $1.43 billion.
