Nine more VA medical centers are scheduled to go live with an Oracle Health EHR system in 2026, bringing the total number of VA sites implementing the system that year to 13.

The nine medical centers and associated clinics are:

  • Cincinnati VA Medical Center–Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, Ky.)

  • Chillicothe VA Medical Center (Chillicothe, Ohio)

  • Cincinnati VA Medical Center (Cincinnati, Ohio)

  • Dayton VA Medical Center (Dayton, Ohio)

  • Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (Cleveland, Ohio)

  • Fort Wayne VA Medical Center (Fort Wayne, Ind.)

  • Marion VA Medical Center (Marion, Ind.)

  • Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (Indianapolis)

  • Alaska VA Healthcare System (Anchorage)

The move is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ effort to modernize its EHR system, according to a March 31 news release.

The VA signed a $10 billion contract with Cerner — now Oracle Health — in May 2018 to implement the new system. Oracle acquired Cerner in 2022. The VA’s current contract with Oracle is set to expire in May 2028.
