The man, a 45-year-old patient who had been discharged from Maricopa Medical Center, refused to leave the hospital, according to Phoenix Police. When the man refused to leave, hospital security escorted him to a nearby bus stop.

Later that day, the man returned and walked into the hospital’s pediatric ER, naked and touching himself, according to police. A family with children and other hospital workers were present at that time, police said.

The hospital workers removed the family from the room, while security tried to remove the man. A glass door was shattered during the struggle, according to hospital staff. Security officers detained the man until police arrived.

The man was charged with indecent exposure.
