Q4 digital health funding hits 5-year low

Digital health funding fell to $3.4 billion for the fourth quarter of 2022, hitting a five-year low, according to a Jan. 24 report from research and data company CB Insights.

The fourth quarter was the first quarter since 2018 with no new digital health unicorns. Despite the rough financing environment, DispatchHealth, Komodo and Neumora were able to complete funding rounds of greater than $100 million.

The digital mental health space was hit particularly hard, as funding for mental health technology fell by 53 percent in 2022, according to the Jan. 24 report.
