The group, Embargo, is threatening to release the data unless a ransom is paid. On Nov. 11, Embargo posted on its dark web site, stating it would publish the stolen information if its demands are not met.

Memorial Hospital and Manor, which includes an 80-bed community hospital and a 107-bed long-term care facility, experienced a cybersecurity incident Nov. 1. The incident disabled critical IT systems, including its EHR and email access, the report said.

The hospital did not respond to the publication’s inquiries for an update on the IT outage or comments regarding Embargo’s threats to publish the data. Additionally, it appears that a Nov. 1 Facebook post from the hospital, which had informed the community about the ransomware attack affecting its EHRs and other systems, has since been removed, according to the report.

Becker’s reached out to Memorial Hospital and Manor and will update this story if more information becomes available.
