Starling Physicians discovered in February that employee email accounts were targeted in a phishing attack. Promptly, the group secured the email accounts and hired a forensic security firm to investigate the incident.

Patient data that may have been exposed included names, addresses, dates of birth, passport numbers, Social Security numbers, medical information, health insurance information and billing information.

Starling Physicians recommends patients review their financial statements as well as claims made to insurers for any unauthorized activity.
