Mr. Olivia was paid a combined $13.4 million for the final two years of his three-year tenure. In those final two years, the system reported a combined $164.3 million operating loss and $17.4 million net loss, according to the report.
Regional health insurer Highmark acquired the health system last month and named John Paul as CEO of Allegheny Health Network, which includes West Penn Allegheny.
In addition to Mr. Olivia, seven other West Penn Allegheny employees earned more than $1 million last year, five of whom are no longer employed by the system, according to the report.
