The hospital workers, some of whom belong to the SEIU-United Healthcare Workers West, said the measure is not personal, but the high executive salaries exist as their own contract negotiations have hit a wall, the report said.
Tomi Ryba, the new CEO of El Camino Hospital, is slated to make $695,000 per year and could make as much as 30 percent in benefits, according to the report. The hospital has not responded to the group’s announcement for a ballot initiative.
