The first $100 million building will provide expanded space for the hospital’s complex brain surgeries, cancer treatments and intensive care. Hospital officials hope to open the new facility in 2013. The news report did not provide details on the second $20 million building, though officials hope to begin construction on that project in late 2012.
The hospital, which was acquired by Mercy Health in March 2010, is embarking on new projects at the same time as other rival organizations, including UC Health, St. Elizabeth Healthcare and TriHealth.
