The CAC initiative is similar to an accountable care organization and will strive to meet the triple aim of improving health outcomes and the patient experience while lowering healthcare costs.
About 3,300 patients will receive care in the program. It is Cigna’s first accountable care program in the state of Washington. Providers in the program will be compensated in a “pay for value” structure if they meet unspecified quality and cost targets.
