UT Southwestern Medical Center May Operate Proton Therapy Center

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas announced plans to operate a proton therapy center that would be funded by Advanced Particle Therapy, a proton therapy center developer.

Under the letter of intent, APT would build and develop the 100,000-square-foot center and UT Southwestern would operate it. The facility would include at least four treatment vaults and laboratory space for researchers.

APT’s plans for the center are awaiting approval from the UT System Board of Regents.
