To recognize National Nutrition Month, WalletHub analyzed 100 of the most populated U.S. metro areas to look at 14 key metrics, including rates of “overweight” and “obese” residents, percentage of physically inactive adults and percentage of adults eating fewer than one serving of fruits or vegetables per day.
They found the 10 cities with the most prevalent weight-related problems are:
1. Memphis, Tenn.
2. Shreveport, La.
3. Indianapolis
4. Jackson, Miss.
5. New Orleans
6. Chattanooga, Tenn.
7. Mobile, Ala.
8. San Antonio
9. Greenville, S.C.
10. Little Rock, Ark.
The 10 cities with the least prevalent weight-related problems are:
1. Honolulu
2. Reno, Nev.
3. Boise, Idaho
4. Las Vegas, Nev.
5. Sacramento, Calif.
6. Boston
7. San Francisco
8. Colorado Springs, Colo.
9. Denver
10. Tucson, Ariz.
