Coosa Valley Medical Center in Alabama to Open Cardiac Cath Lab

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Ala., will open its new cardiac catheterization lab tomorrow, according to a Daily Home report.

The lab fills a need in the community because it provides closer access to cardiac cath lab services, according to the report.

In addition to CVMC employees, the lab will be staffed by cardiologists from CardioVascular Associates and HeartSouth in Birmingham. The hospital has provided cardiac services through CardioVascular Associates and HeartSouth for about 25 years and eight years, respectively, according to the report.
