Arizona cardiovascular center gifted $5M from local family

Tucson (Ariz.) Medical Center Cardiovascular received a $5 million donation from the Humberto and Czarina Lopez family, KVOA reported March 15.

The center will be renamed to Iliana Maria Lopez Cardiovascular Center at Tucson Medical Center as part of the gift agreement. The gift will be used to support the work of the center.

"It's going to help us buy the equipment we need to pay for the professionals that are taking care of these patients and to get the finest physicians, structural heart care and other cardiovascular care for our patients," Judy Rich, TMC Health's CEO, told KVOA.
