Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth has kicked off construction on a $423 million hospital in Lake Nona, Fla.

Eleven VA-operated facilities across Washington, Texas, Maryland, Oregon, Nevada, California, Connecticut, Missouri and Puerto Rico are slated to receive part of $4,603,129,000 in upgrades as part of a bill introduced to Congress in April.

Atlanta-based Piedmont reopened its Piedmont Augusta (Ga.) Summerville Campus May 15 after it closed the hospital's emergency department and converted to an outpatient campus more than one year ago.

Phoenix Children's Hospital has shared plans to open a 44,000-square-foot level five neonatal intensive care unit at its main Thomas Campus in Phoenix on May 15. 

Houston-based Legacy Community Health broke ground on its Legacy Pasadena (Texas) Southmore Clinic May 10, which will be funded in part by a $50 million donation from Houston Methodist. 

Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Children’s has opened its $100 million Driscoll Children's Hospital Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas. 

Bellaire, Texas-based Harris Health has broken ground at the Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital campus in Houston on its $1.6 billion Northeast Houston Hospital.
