San Diego-based Scripps Health is planning a $2.6 billion expansion — the largest construction project in the organization's 125-year history.

St. Elizabeth's Hospital, currently located in Belleville, Ill., will relocate Nov. 4 to a $330 million facility in O'Fallon, Ill., according to Belleville News Democrat.

Oklahoma City-based Integris Health broke ground Nov. 1 on its micro-hospital — the first of four planned micro-facilities — in Moore, Okla., according to News9.com.

 Hospitals such as Boston Medical Center and Seattle Children's are creating their own farms and gardens to grow fresh produce to be incorporated into various food-related projects at their respective facilities, according to USA Today.
