A 443-acre community development featuring retail, housing and recreational amenities is coming to Valley Children's Healthcare in Madera, Calif. 

CentraCare is investing nearly $230 million on expansion projects at two outpatient campuses,  the St. Cloud, Minn.-based system said in an Aug. 28 news release. 

The University of California Los Angeles received a $120 million donation from billionaire spine surgeon and philanthropist Gary Michelson, MD, and his wife, Alya Michelson, for its California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy.
