St. Louis-based SSM Health and Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Select Medical have formed a joint venture partnership to own and operate a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oklahoma City. 

New Orleans-based Ochsner Health has received approval for its zoning requests for its new children's hospital building, nola.com reported Oct. 16.

Minneapolis-based Davis, a healthcare real estate development, investment and management firm, has acquired Plymouth, Minn.-based West Health, a 201,000-square-foot outpatient medical center for $72 million.

St. Louis-based Ascension has shared plans to open a $200 million Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent Women and Infants Hospital on Nov. 16.

UNC Health has received a third certificate-of-need conditional approval from North Carolina for a $371.3 million community hospital in Research Triangle Park.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center have received approval from the city of Boston's Planning Department to develop an estimated $1.68 billion cancer hospital, a spokesperson for Dana Farber confirmed with Becker's.

Health systems across the country are expanding their facilities to accommodate additional patients and services.

Southern Health Corporation of Houston (Miss.), a subsidiary of Atlanta-based SunLink Health Systems, has sold the hospital building and related real estate of its former Houston, Miss.-based Trace Regional Hospital, for approximately $2 million.  

Newark, N.J.-based University Hospital plans to begin its campus expansion by late summer 2025 as part of its $1.8 billion project, TAPinto Newark reported Oct. 11.
