Des Moines, Iowa-based MercyOne broke ground Jan. 14 on its first clinic in Minnesota, according to local news station KTTC.

The following health systems have opened hospitals, advanced proposals to build them or announced plans for them in the last month:

Mercy Health-Cincinnati plans to build a 60-bed, $156 million hospital and medical complex in Mason, Ohio. 

Conway (S.C.) Medical Center's plan to build a $100 million hospital in South Carolina secured a key approval this week, according to local news station WBTW.  

UCLA Health said it has purchased the Olympia Medical Center property in Los Angeles and plans to turn it into an additional campus.
