Five donations of $50 million or more have been made to healthcare organizations since Nov. 22, 2021, which have gone toward advancing care and capital projects.
Five hospital and health system construction projects worth $1 billion or more have been announced or advanced since Dec. 1, 2021.
New York City-based St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children received a $20 million gift, which will go toward financial stability and launch innovative programs, including remote services delivery.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 8 approved a $1.7 billion capital project for Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, Calif.
Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente filed an application with the state Department of Health Care Access and Information to build a $298 million inpatient tower with 138 beds at Roseville (Calif.) Medical Center, The Sacramento Bee reported Feb. 8.
UMass Chan Medical School received a $15 million gift from alumni Dan and Diane Casey Riccio to further neuroscience research, the Telegram and Gazette reported Feb. 7.
