Dee and Jimmy Haslam, owners of the National Football League's Cleveland Browns, have provided a $20 million gift to establish the University Hospitals Haslam Sports Innovation Center. 

The Virginia Department of Health has approved a proposed Bon Secours freestanding emergency center in Hanover County while at the same time rejecting a similar plan from HCA Healthcare in the area, according to a Nov. 10 Richmond BizSense report.

Lenoir City, Tenn.-based Fort Loudon Medical Center broke ground on a $15 million expansion that will add 26 new patient rooms, Longview News Journal reported Nov. 8.

Tampa, Fla.-based St. Joseph's Hospital Cancer, part of Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System, is investing $33 million in a new radiation treatment facility.
