Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permenante's new hospital development in Sacramento, Calif., could cost as much as $1.48 billion, Sacramento Business Journal reported Dec. 11.

Orlando (Fla.) Health has purchased property to build a medical office within walking distance of its forthcoming hospital in Lake Mary, Fla.

Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota is asking for between $60 million and $80 million from the state to expand its healthcare offerings, the Star Tribune reported Dec. 6.

Houston-based Texas Children's is set to open up its new Austin, Texas hospital in February 2024, the Austin Business Journal reported Dec. 6.

Mississippi could have a new hospital next fall. 

The McGrath Family Foundation has donated $25 million to support the new outpatient pavilion at UC San Diego Health's Hillcrest Medical Campus, which is expected to open in 2025. 

University Health Women's & Children's Hospital opened in San Antonio Dec. 5, adding 300 beds for specialized care upon completion of a project that began in 2019. 

The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation, the philanthropic foundation of television producer Chuck Lorre, donated $10 million to Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
