Baptist Memorial Health Care breaks ground on $25M hospital

Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care began constructing its new $25 million hospital Wednesday, according to a Memphis Business Journal report.

The 50,000-square-foot hospital in West Memphis, Ark., is slated to open to patients in 18 to 24 months. It will include an emergency room, cancer treatment services and imaging and diagnostics departments, according to the article.

Groundbreaking for the new hospital comes roughly two years after West Memphis-based Crittenden Regional Hospital closed.
