About 59 percent of Humana’s Medicare Advantage members receive care from physicians who are participating in value-based arrangements. For improving the health outcomes of these Medicare Advantage patients in 2014, roughly 3,700 physician groups received payments. The 2014 rewards are paid out in 2015 to allow time for final claims and submissions and supplemental data submission.

To earn a financial reward, physician groups had to improve quality measures on services such as breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening and high-risk medications.
