17 Hospital and Health System Executive Moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, Ill., selected Douglas Rahn as president and CEO.

2. Jason Barker, president and CEO of Billings, Mont.-based St. Vincent Healthcare, announced his resignation, effective Feb. 28, according to a Billings Gazette report.

3. Hilo (Hawaii) Medical Center selected Dan Brinkman as COO, according to a news release.

4. Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Ill., selected Terrence Moisan, MD, as CEO, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.

5. Nevada (Mo.) Regional Medical Center named Greg Shaw CFO, effective Feb. 24, according to a Nevada Daily Mail report.

6. Tom Hennessy, CEO of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, has retired from his position to spend more time with family, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.

7. Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., selected Jeffrey Liebman as CEO, effective Feb. 24.

8. The Institute of Medicine selected Victor Dzau, MD, president and CEO of Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System, as its next president, effective July 1.

9. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton in Covington, Tenn., appointed Sam Lynd as administrator and CEO, according to a Memphis Business Journal report.

10. Kevin Kast, president and CEO of St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Ill., announced plans to retire in March.

11. Chris Wolf, CEO of Payson (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center, is leaving his position to become CEO of Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, N.M., a sister hospital of PRMC, according to a Payson Roundup report.

12. Conroe, Texas-based Aspire Hospital named Jerry Nash, PhD, president and CEO, according to a Your Houston News report.

13. Marietta, Ga.-based WellStar Health System selected Candice Saunders for CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2016.

14. Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, chose Gary Purushotham as COO.

15. Knoxville, Tenn.-based Tennova Healthcare selected Neil Heatherly as CEO, effective March 3, according to a TMC Net report.

16. Evansville, Ind.-based St. Mary's Medical Group selected William Millikan, MD, as CEO, according to an Inside Indiana Business report.

17. Rich Robinson has been replaced as CEO of Yakima (Wash.) Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, according to a Yakima Herald report.
