5 hospital CFOs in the headlines this week

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news this past week.

1. Michael McAnder was in the news this week as he was named CFO of Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta.

2. Cleveland-based The MetroHealth System Senior Vice President and CFO Craig Richmond was in the news this week discussing steps hospitals can take to handle the challenges of high-deductible health plans.

3. John Bishop, CFO of Long Beach (Calif.) Memorial, Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach, and Community Hospital Long Beach was in the news this week as he was appointed CEO of the three hospitals.

4. Nathan Ebersole, CFO of Calhoun-Liberty Hospital in Blountstown, Fla., was in the news this week as HomeTown Health, an association of more than 60 rural hospitals in the Southeast, selected him as the recipient of the 2015 Florida CFO of the Year award.

5. Mike Crews, former CFO of Pascagoula, Miss.-based Singing River Health System, was in the news this week as he was called as a witness in a grand jury hearing regarding the system's failed pension plan.
