Steward's Saint Anne's Hospital Breaks Ground on New $30M Wing

Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, Mass., part of Boston-based Steward Health Care, announced it has broken ground on a new $30 million hospital wing.

The 60,000-square-foot expansion will include a new main entrance and 40 new patient care rooms, allowing the hospital to convert nearly all inpatient rooms in the hospital into private rooms.

The top floor of the new wing will house a telemetry unit for patients who need cardiac monitoring; the second floor will include a medical-surgical unit; and the ground floor will be reserved for future patient care services, according to the release.

The project is expected to be completed in June 2013.
