North Carolina Family Practice Clinic Joins High Point Regional Hospital
Jamestown (N.C.) Family Practice and Urgent Care has jointed High Point (N.C.) Regional Hospital as a subsidiary, according to a Jamestown News report. As part of the deal, the practice has been renamed Regional Physicians Walk-In Medical Care, Family Medicine and Occupational Health of Jamestown. The clinic will join the health system as its fourth outpatient clinic.
Solo practitioner William Ameen, MD, who owned the clinic said in the report "It may be inevitable to join a hospital for greater savings. We may be witnessing the death of private practice, at least in the sense of a solo practice."
