White House advisors say GOP has votes to pass healthcare bill this week

A White House advisor said on "CBS This Morning" he believes Republicans have enough votes to pass the revised healthcare bill this week.

"This is going to be a great week," Gary Cohn, director of the National Economic Council, said on CBS. "We're going to get healthcare down to the floor of the House. We're convinced we've got the votes."

White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus echoed Mr. Cohn's sentiment on the show. When asked about the healthcare vote, he said, "I certainly hope so … I think it will happen this week."

He also highlighted the speed with which the bill would be passed if it is voted on this week, calling it "one of the fastest pieces of signature legislation to go through for a president since Roosevelt."

The Hill's "Whip List," which tracks congressional opinion on various pieces of legislation, still counts 21 definite no's, 55 undecided or unclear votes and 12 yes votes as of noon Monday. Republicans can only lose a total of 22 votes assuming no Democrat votes for the bill.
