Mercy Northwest Arkansas Renames Hospitals to Unify Brand

Mercy Northwest Arkansas, based in Rogers, Ark., has announced it will soon be called simply "Mercy" and will rename its more than 30 hospitals throughout Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma to reflect the Mercy brand.

The Catholic health system currently operates hospitals and clinics under various names, including St. John's Hospital, St. Edward Mercy Medical Center and St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center. These facilities will be renamed Mercy Hospital Berryville, Mercy Hospital Fort Smith and Mercy Hospital Hot Springs, respectively, to better reflect the new brand, according to an Arkansas Business report.

"We owe it to the 3 million patients we serve each year to know us by one name," Lynn Britton, president and CEO of Mercy, said in the report.
