Leapfrog Group names 13 members of Hospital Advisory Committee for 2016

The Leapfrog Group has named 13 executives from hospitals and health systems across the country as 2016 members of its Hospital Advisory Committee.

The Hospital Advisory Committee advises Leapfrog's board and management on hospital quality, safety and efficiency trends. The committee does not influence Leapfrog's Hospital Safety Scores.

Members are elected by the Leapfrog board. The 2016 members are:

  • Evie Alessandrini, MD. Assistant vice president of outcomes systems and attending physician of the Division of Emergency Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
  • Fredrick Cerise MD. President and CEO of Parkland Hospital & Health System (Dallas).
  • Barbara Crawford. Vice president of quality & regulatory services of Kaiser (Oakland, Calif.).
  • Jane Englebright, PhD, RN. Vice president of clinical performance and CNO of Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.).
  • Gary Kaplan, MD. Chairman and CEO of Virginia Mason Medical Center (Seattle).
  • Stephen Lawless, MD. Vice president of quality and patient safety of Nemours (Wilmington, Del.).
  • Amy Mansue. President of the Southern Region of RWJ Barnabas Health (West Orange, N.J.).
  • Michelle Schreiber, MD. Senior vice president and CQO of Henry Ford Health System (Detroit).
  • Shelly Shibles. Vice president of quality and safety of Stephens Memorial Hospital (Norway, Maine).
  • Sherrill Sorensen, DNP, RN. System CNO of SageWest Health System (Lander, Wyo.).
  • Kevin Tabb, MD. President and CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston).
  • Darrell K. Terry, Sr. President and CEO of Newark (N.J.) Beth Israel Medical Center.
  • Stephen Weber, MD. CMO of University of Chicago Medicine.
