Bowie (Texas) Memorial Hospital has opened a walk-in clinic next door to its emergency department to improve patient access to care and allow patients to be seen more quickly than in the ED.
The walk-in clinic is open in the evenings during the week and has some weekend hours.
In addition to the new walk-in clinic, the hospital, which is managed by Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp., also switched to the Titanium Emergency Group.
"We are pleased to bring our expertise and care oversight to patients at Bowie Memorial Hospital," said Alan Scott Meyers, MD, the president and medical director of the Titanium Emergency Group.
