In a blog post from Dr. David Nash of Jefferson University Hospitals, he describes his recent trip to Dallas for TeamHealth's second national meeting.
Dr. Nash opened the second day of 900-person annual leadership meeting, according to the post.
In his speech, Dr. Nash called out TeamHealth as the "shock troops, the Delta Force, the 82nd Airborne of Population Health." Dr. Nash commented that TeamHealth sees "everyday, how the social determinats of health drive frequent emergency room visits and repeat hospitalizations."
TeamHealth, located in Knoxville, Tenn., is the second-largest national provider of emergency room coverage, hospitalist care and specialty physician services.
"I'll be paying close attention to TeamHealth...and I advise you to also follow the closely," Dr. Nash wrote. "I believe they're going to serve as the trendsetter in multiple national markets..."
