Adirondack Health to Cut 18 Full-Time Jobs, Reduce Hours for Others

Saranac Lake, N.Y.-based Adirondack Health has announced the layoffs of 18 full-time employees and reduced work hours for another 15 full- and part-time employees, according to an Adirondack Daily Enterprise report.

The system is implementing the workforce adjustments to make up for a loss of more than $1.7 million in revenue since the beginning of the year, largely attributed to Medicare cuts.

Three months ago, Adirondack Health laid off 17 employees as part of a long-term restructuring plan, as well.
