Thirty percent of healthcare organizations are "not at all prepared" to deal with a sudden loss of key members of the senior management team, according to an AMA survey.
Sixty-one percent of respondents feel their organizations are "somewhat prepared" to deal with a sudden loss in leadership management, while 7 percent say they are "well prepared."
Another 43 percent of respondents called the leadership pipeline at their organizations "inadequate." Forty-four percent answered that the pipeline was "adequate," while 8 percent called it "robust."
