Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System has appointed Chris Ghaemmaghami, MD, as permanent CMO of University of Virginia Medical Center.
Dr. Ghaemmaghami has been serving this role in an interim capacity since February.
Dr. Ghaemmaghami, an emergency medicine physician, joined UVA in 1998 and has held various leadership positions in the department of emergency medicine, including medical director and vice chair of the department.
