11 latest CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were announced or made within the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Irving, Texas-based CHRISTUS Health appointed Isaac Palmer as CEO of CHRISTUS Health Northern Louisiana in Shreveport.

2. Athens (Ga.) Regional Health System named its interim CEO, Charles Peck, MD, permanent CEO of the regional system and Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center, effective March 15.

3. Delores Horvath, president and CEO of Medina, N.Y.-based Orleans Community Health, which runs Medina Memorial Hospital, resigned Feb. 13.

4. The American Academy of Pediatrics named Karen Remley, MD, executive director and CEO following the July 2015 retirement of Errol R. Alden, MD, who has served in the role for the last 11 years.

5. Carlsbad (N.M.) Medical Center named Cathryn Hibbs CEO. She began her new role Feb. 9.

6. Robert McGrail, current CFO of West Branch (Mich.) Regional Medical Center, will serve as the hospital's interim CEO until it finalizes an affiliation with another healthcare organization.

7. Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz, Pa., part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, named its administrator Deborah Willwerth the new CEO.

8. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System named UCLA Health System President David Feinberg, MD, as its sixth president and CEO.

9. Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez, Colo., named W. Kent Rogers CEO. His new role will start in March.

10. Deborah Proctor, president and CEO of Irvine, Calif.-based St. Joseph Health, will retire Dec. 31 after leading the system for 10 years.

11. Taos (N.M.) Health Systems named William D. Patten Jr., CEO.
