For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Feb. 9-13

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stocks rise last week.

Shares of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals were up 2.52 percent last week, the most of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

Shares of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services fell 0.06 percent last week.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $48.14 per share (up 1.67 percent)
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $68.55 per share (up 0.85 percent)
  • LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $69.04 per share (up 2.52 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $44.31 per share (up 1.44 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $104.91 per share (down 0.06 percent)
