5 hospital CFOs in the headlines

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news since Dec. 21.

1. Nichole Dykes was in the news as she was named CFO of Fort Smith, Ark.-based Sparks Health System.

2. Michael A. Vaughn was in the news as he was appointed interim CFO of Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville, Ga.

3. Standpoint, Idaho-based Bonner General Health's former CFO, Norilina Harvel, was in the news as she will stand trial for felony theft.

4. John Armour, former CFO of HCA Gulf Coast Division — a division of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America — was in the news as he was named CEO of Elite Care 24 Hour Emergency Rooms, which has locations throughout Texas in Houston, San Antonio and Dallas-Fort Worth.

5. Rhonda Anderson, senior vice president and CFO of St. Louis-based Ascension, was in the news discussing the essential skills of a health system CFO.
