Here are 15 capital projects at hospitals and health systems that were recently announced, started, changed or completed, beginning with the most recent.

1. Saint Alphonsus Health System to build replacement hospital in Idaho
Boise, Idaho-based Saint Alphonsus Health System announced it will build an $80 million hospital to replace a current facility in Nampa, Idaho.

2. Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center to expand
Beatrice (Neb.) Community Hospital and Health Center announced it will undergo a $7.2 million, 17,500-square-foot expansion to create needed space at the facility.

3. Capital Regional Medical Center prepares to open behavioral health center
Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla., set an open date of April 15 for its new, $4 million, 14,000-square-foot behavioral health center.

4. Mercy, Toledo Clinic to open $14.5M cancer center
Cincinnati-based Mercy Health and Toledo (Ohio) Clinic partnered to open a $14.5 million comprehensive cancer center in 2016, which will help coordinate oncology services in a region where they are "fragmented."

5. New hospital to be constructed in Alabama

6. Washington Hospital breaks ground on pavilion project

University of Chicago Medicine began investigating the need and capacity for a new adult trauma center on its Hyde Park campus.
