Some executives of Southwest Ohio hospital and health systems recorded compensation packages in the millions in 2009 and 2010, with one of the highest payments topping $4.6 million, according to a Middletown Journal report.

Jim Pancoast, president and CEO of Dayton, Ohio-based Premier Health Partners, recorded total compensation of about $4.6 million in 2010, most of which was collected through a supplemental executive retirement program, according to the report.

Former Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network CEO Frank Perez and former Cincinnati-based UC Health CEO Kenneth Hanover each received more than $2.6 million in 2009, and much of that came from deferred compensation and retirement payments.
