Former CEO of Montgomery County Hospital District in Texas Made $165k Upon Leaving

Former CEO Allen Johnson left the Montgomery County Hospital District in Conroe, Texas, this past January, and his base salary at the time was $165,000, according to a Courier of Montgomery County report.

Since then, John Hennigan resigned from the MCHD's board of directors to take the interim CEO position and has been earning $5,000 per month as part of a four-month contract, according to the report. Mr. Hennigan also receives a district vehicle but does not receive health insurance or retirement benefits.

MCHD currently has eight candidates to fill the permanent role, with Mr. Hennigan included.
