Cleveland-based University Hospitals plans to buy a $12 million office building in Highland Hills, Ohio, and move 600 employees there by spring, according to a report from The Plain Dealer.
Many of the system's 25,000 work away from its main Cleveland campus, including its legal and human resources department, according to the report.
The pending acquisition of the new building reflects the system's preference to own instead of rent, a spokeswoman told The Plain Dealer. The deal should close at the end of this month.
