Texas Health Presbyterian holds employee town hall meetings

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas held a series of town hall meetings Monday with hospital employees about the Ebola outbreak.

The meetings were held after one of the hospital's nurses became infected with the Ebola virus after treating a patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, who had Ebola.

"We recognize the professional, tireless and compassionate care you provide each and every day," said Barclay Berdan, Texas Health Resources' CEO. "We are staying focused on taking care of our patients and each other."

Mr. Berdan emphasized to employees that the hospital is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to coordinate care and related issues.

"Our important mission and ministry continue, and we will emerge from these trying times stronger than ever," Mr. Berdan said.

Rev. Stanley Kim offered a prayer during the meetings as well.
