Arizona Regional Medical Center Renamed Banner Goldfield

Phoenix-based Banner Health announced Banner Goldfield Medical Center as the new name of 30-bed Arizona Regional Medical Center in Apache Junction, Ariz., which will join Banner Health May 15.

Banner Health chose the name due to community preference and its meaning, as the hospital is located near the Goldfield Mountains, according to the news release.

Banner Goldfield will temporarily close May 15 to enable Banner Health to install new technology and equipment and train staff. The hospital will reopen for patient care June 14.

Julie Nunley, CEO of Banner Ironwood in San Tan Valley, Ariz., will serve as CEO of Banner Goldfield beginning May 15.
