Supreme Court Has Not Expedited Virginia Lawsuit Against Healthcare Reform

The Supreme Court has not revealed whether it will expedite a lawsuit by Virginia against the healthcare reform law, according to a Hill report.

Although the Court did not include Virginia's case on its Monday list of orders, justices can issue "miscellaneous" orders for individual cases at any time, according to the report.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R), who is challenging the law's individual mandate, has petitioned the court to expedite the case by skipping the appeals process, arguing that the importance of the law demands immediate review.
