Partners HealthCare, Affiliates Award $6M in Grants to 35 Community Health Centers

Boston-based Partners HealthCare announced that the Partnership for Community Health has awarded $6 million to 35 community health centers in its second round of excellence and innovation grants.

The Partnership for Community Health is an initiative of Neighborhood Health Plan and Partners HealthCare along with the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers. It was launched in 2012 and was designed to support the continued efforts of community health centers to reduce barriers to access and promote health equity.

This is the second phase of the Partnership's 15-year grant program. "These grants help to support and accelerate important innovations in healthcare — the type of innovations that can improve access, coordination, and slow cost growth," said Gary L. Gottlieb, MD president and CEO of Partners HealthCare, in a news release.
